Mahan’s thesis topic for his MFA in Design at UC Davis concerns how to exhibit architecture in a meaningful and effective way using augmented reality technology. He is also the Architectural manager in solar decathlon.

The UC Davis Department of Design offers MFA candidates the unique opportunity to collaborate with over one hundred departments at one of the nation’s top public research universities.

Working with renowned design faculty, students explore the broader topic of “design” through a specific design discipline, drawing on collaborations with the arts, humanities, social sciences and sciences. They follow a rigorous process of critical research, produce a body of creative work, and assist with teaching in the undergraduate design curriculum.
