Dela’s research area is focused on linking the arts, university art museums, and the academic environment in order to create a well-rounded education. For this, she is focused on creating an expanded museum environment as an appealing space to help students and others explore art in a fun and engaging way beyond the classroom or formality of the museum.

The UC Davis Department of Design offers MFA candidates the unique opportunity to collaborate with over one hundred departments at one of the nation’s top public research universities.

Working with renowned design faculty, students explore the broader topic of “design” through a specific design discipline, drawing on collaborations with the arts, humanities, social sciences and sciences. They follow a rigorous process of critical research, produce a body of creative work, and assist with teaching in the undergraduate design curriculum.
