The UC Davis Prototyping Lab is a dedicated
space for design students to bring their ideas to life through
laser cutting, 3D printing, and electronics
projects. This lab is reserved for classes and
coursework specifically designed around prototyping and
hands-on making.
Hours
Monday thru Thursday 9 am – 7 pm • Friday 9 am – 5 pm
Use of the Lab
To use the lab, students must first complete required
training, either as part of their enrolled classes or
during scheduled open training sessions.
We recommend making an appointment to ensure access to the
equipment and space. However, please note that students
working during class hours have priority use of the lab.
