The UC Davis Prototyping Lab (located in Room 1102, Cruess Hall, in the Makerspace) is a dedicated space for design students to bring their ideas to life through laser cutting, 3D printing, and electronics projects. This lab is reserved for classes and coursework specifically designed around prototyping and hands-on making.
To use the lab, students must first complete required training, either as part of their enrolled classes or during scheduled open training sessions.

- Monday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Tuesday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Wednesday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Thursday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Friday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Equipment
- 3D printers: Bambu X1 Carbon, Bambu p2s
- Laser cutters: Universal (32″ × 18″) and (48″ × 24″)
- Other: Proxxon Thermocut, Proxxon Micromot system, soldering iron
