The Granada Artist-in-Residence Program, a unique cooperative
program with Granada Television of London, annually brings three
distinguished theater artists to the department to teach and
create a performance work with UC Davis students. Granada artists
have included playwright Mark Ravenhill, an associate of London’s
National Theatre, acclaimed choreographer Qudus Onikeku, and
internationally known theater and opera director Irina Brown.
Department Faculty, Visiting Artists and Faculty, Emeritus
Faculty and Teaching Assistants are all listed on the People

The season calendar and production schedule are handled by the
Production Manager, who also supervises technical and publicity
staff. A full complement of technical staff—scenic construction
shop, costume shop, lighting, audio and facilities—carries out
all aspects of physical production for the student, faculty, and
visiting artist productions in the department, aided by paid
student assistants, student company managers, and house managers.
Theatre and Dance publicity and marketing staff handle outreach
on and off campus.
Administrative support is provided by the Arts Administrative
Group staff.
Our performance spaces include Main Theatre, Wyatt Pavilion
Theatre, Arena Theatre, Laboratory Theatre A, and the Della
Davidson Performance Studio in Nelson Hall. Students may also

proscenium theater.
One of UC Davis’s highest priorities is the safety of its
students and all members of its community. UC Davis
prohibits all forms of sexual harassment and sexual violence,
including sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and
stalking. Such conduct violates University policy and may
violate California law.
Faculty and staff offices are located primarily in Wright Hall.
Additional offices and studio space are located in Nelson Hall
and the Art Building. See our Resources page for
information on theatre locations.
