Equivalency request process: Students may petition to have courses outside of the Art Studio major count toward the requirements for graduation. To request the substitution or equivalency of an Art Studio major course, students must have completed an equivalent course for college credit (such as AP credits, IB credits, or unarticulated community college or four-year college credits). Students are required to share relevant course information, including the course description, syllabus, and, optionally, coursework, with an Art Studio major advisor via email. The submitted information will be reviewed by the Art Studio faculty advisor to determine whether the breadth of knowledge gained is equivalent to the corresponding UCD course.
