Student Profile
Mariana Moscoso M.A.
Mariana’s research is on postmodern art movements from the 1960s and 1970s, particularly in Italy. Her work is also engaged in the study of feminist theory and research as it pertains to art historical inquiry. For her master’s thesis, she has developed a case study on Marisa Merz, the only female artist to participate in the Italian group Arte Povera. Her current research focuses on the themes of subjectivity, labor, and domesticity from a feminist perspective as a form of challenging preconceived stereotypes that afflict women artists in art historical literature.
