Matt Gilbert
Matt Gilbert began studying visual art in high school at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities. He received a BFA in graphic design from Art Center College of Design, which he complemented with studies in media design, computer science, and math. Some of these studies were self-directed and some were pursued through classes and a fellowship at Caltech. Matt then completed some post-graduate work in Digital Media at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA.
While living in Atlanta, Matt developed a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative art and design practice that includes interactive electronics, video, animation, sound installation, web development, crochet, papercraft, and other media.
