Two new back-to-back choreographies by graduating Master of Fine
Arts candidates Folawole and Kevin
O’Connor. O’Connor’s dis/connect fuses live
vocal, music, dance and aerial rope circus arts in an examination
of what community means in contemporary society. Folawole’s
new four-part work Light Phases will look deeply into
joy, listening, light and trust.
(Light Phases choreography is subject to change.)
Please be advised that dis/connect contains partial
nudity.
Kevin O’Connor and Folawole, Master of Fine Arts (MFA) candidates
in the UC Davis Department of Theatre & Dance, will create and
perform original works exploring themes of community and play in
their MFA Thesis Choreographies showcase.
Performances are Feb. 16 to 26 in the Mondavi Center’s Vanderhoef
Studio Theatre.
