Bryce Cannell’s string quartet, Refractions, wins the SCI/ASCAP Region VIII Student Commission Competition for 2012. Professor Pablo Ortiz was his composition teacher for this work, and is duly noted by the regional adjudication committee. Across all eight regions, ASCAP received 119 submissions.
