Faculty and Alumnus Look to the Future in Exhibition
Professors Glenda Drew, Department of Design, and Jesse Drew, Department of Cinema and Digital Media, have created new works using innovative technology that are featured in “Memories of a New Future,” an exhibition at the Barn Gallery in Woodland. The installation also includes work by Melissa Chandon, lecturer in Design, and Chris Daubert, MFA Art Studio (2018).
In this moment of ’shelter in place’ seven artists explore the theme of embarkation and the hopes, dreams, and fears of setting off into the unknown.
An augmented-reality workshop with Glenda Drew and Jesse Drew will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, via Zoom and introduce popular tools for creating augmented reality with hands-on demonstrations of how to use Artivive. Register for this event.
The Barn Gallery, 512 Gibson Road in Woodland, will be open to the public from 4:30 to 7 p.m. every Thursday through Nov. 14. The gallery will also be open on select Saturdays and by appointment. Face coverings and social distancing will be required at the gallery. Check yoloarts.org for details.
