Doug Loree was born in San Jose, California, though he spent much of his childhood in the Boston area.  Returning to the west coast as an adult, he earned his BA in Painting from California State University Sacramento in 2015.  Having been a denizen of the internet since its public availability,  he wonders about its role in our evolution.  The changing perception of our reality and the emergence of a digital consciousness fascinate him, for good or for ill.  Doug prefers to use physical material rather than digital, perhaps to maintain a relationship with classical reality.
