Casting Call for actors for 127B Final Directing Projects

Open-casting for the roles. All are encouraged to audition regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation.
Seeking actors for the following projects, each scene has 1-3 actors. Total scene time 12-15 minutes
Performance Dates Dec 1 and 3, during DRA 127B (10:30a-1:00 PM exact times to be announced)
Two Scenes from “The Late Wedding” by Christopher Chen, Directed by Diego Martinez-Campos. About the play: Inspired by the writings of Italian writer Italo Calvino, “The Late Wedding” is a fractured portrait of a fractured marriage, as told through a series of interconnected fables, including an anthropological tour of fantastical tribes and their marital customs.
Two Scenes from “The Philadelphia” from “All In the Timing” by David Ives, Directed By Harry Aung. About the play: After one of the main characters endures a rather unlucky day, they discover that their predicament is a result of having supposedly slipped into a “pocket dimension” called a “Philadelphia” where whatever they ask will only end up resulting in the opposite
Two scenes from “Metamorphosis” by Mary Zimmerman, Directed by Brianna Thomsett. About the play: An adaptation of the poem, Metamorphosis by Ovid, details the creation of the world. Zimmerman’s play brings to life characters like Zeus, Hades, Hermes, and many more in stories that tell about transformation, loss, and betrayal.

Two Scenes from “Twelfth Night” by William Shakespeare, Directed by Sabrina Chen. About the play: The romantic comedy humorously explores themes of love, gender fluidity, sexuality, and identity deception.

Two Scenes from Gruesome Playground Injuries, Rajiv Joseph, Directed by, John Mosa’ati
For the group: Audition Date November 3rd 11:00am to 12:30am

If you have prepared material 1-2 mins maximum, please be prepared to share your work. (prepared material is not required)
