Simon Sadler was named a Mellon Researcher at the Canadian Center
for Architecture (CCA), Montreal, where he has joined the
  Multidisciplinary Research Program “1945–1975:
  British Culture for Architecture“.

The 18-month project centers on the social, economic and
  technological
shifts that took place in Britain in the period 1945–1975.
  Simon’s
project focuses on the way that post-war British design culture
loved to “think the unthinkable,” exploring ways in which the
architecture and institutions of the Welfare State could be
relaxed, devolving power to “citizen designers.”
