Bump has written for big bands, combos, television, and radio, and he has received numerous awards. His output as a composer with respect to the jazz literature is significant.Currently, he maintains a full schedule as a performer, locally and nationally; as a teacher at Solano Community College and here at UC Davis; and as the leader of an organ trio, a latin sextet, and an organ-driven big band. Bump is featured in three tracks on Mike Clark’s new album, Carnival of Soul, now sold and played nationally.
