Aureolis Stetzel

Aurie is dedicated to sustainable fashion design, both in study and in practice. She is concerned about the environmental impacts, socioeconomic exploitation and structural corruption caused by fast-fashion production. She started sewing in kindergarten and has been inspired by historical costume and cultural influences from around the world all her life. She aims to approach fashion design with consideration of the diverse art forms of different cultures and periods while practicing sustainable design methods like the use of natural fibers, locally produced materials, and mindfulness of the social and environmental problems linked to the fashion industry. She earned her B.S. in Apparel Design and Merchandising last Spring at San Francisco State University.
