Professor Margaret Laurena Kemp, Department of Theatre and Dance chair, announces auditions for the winter quarter productions of “The Laramie Project” and “Long Way Down,” a new Hip Hop musical, will be held on Dec. 4 and 5 in the Arena Theatre, Wright Hall 5-7:30 p.m.

Audition slots are five minutes. Performers can audition for either production or both productions — but you do not have to audition for both. Due to the schedule, a performer cannot be cast in both productions. All roles are open in both shows.

For “The Laramie Project,” performers are asked to prepare a one-minute monologue from the show.

For “Long Way Down,” performers are asked to prepare a 1.5-2 minutes of song which should feature rap and sung parts. Performers will sing acapella.

All performers are asked to arrive 20 minutes prior to their audition slot in order to fill out an audition sheet. If you have a headshot please bring one, otherwise the company managers will take a photograph. If you have a resume, please submit that at the audition.

Sign up for an audition slot at the links above.
