The Chamber Singers and University Chorus will share a concert of
love songs, Spirituals, rounds, and folk songs. Highlights
include Eric Whitacre’sA Boy and
A Girl, a selection from Paul
Basler’s Missa Kenya, and works
by Benjamin
Britten and William
Dawson. The Chamber Singers will also present a
newly composed piece in three movements called Primary
Colours by Kathleen Allan.
From contemporary choral works to classics by Bartók and
Mussorgsky, the UC Davis department of music will present three
diversely programmed concerts within a week at the Mondavi
Center.
