The Chamber Singers and University Chorus will share a concert of love songs, Spirituals, rounds, and folk songs. Highlights include Eric Whitacre’sA Boy and A Girl, a selection from Paul Basler’s Missa Kenya, and works by Benjamin Britten and William Dawson. The Chamber Singers will also present a newly composed piece in three movements called Primary Colours by Kathleen Allan.
Caleb Lewis is a young music professional interested in inspiring others toward excellence. He works primarily as a conductor with groups of people who want to be more effective performers and who enjoy making music together. He has degrees in choral music from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, and Emory University, in Atlanta. Recently, he completed coursework for his Doctor of Music degree in Choral Conducting from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music.
