• The CRN number to register for MUS 141 will be given to all applicants admitted into the UC Davis Symphony Orchestra AFTER the auditions are completed.

Most auditions will take place in Room 1144 (“Strings”), at the Ann E. Pitzer Center.

Regular Rehearsals

• Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:10–9:00 pm, usually in Jackson Hall at the Mondavi Center.

• First rehearsal is Tuesday, Jan. 6, in Jackson Hall, Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts [Call-time is 6:45 pm]

Requirements and Music excerpts

• Please prepare two contrasting pieces/excerpts demonstrating slow and fast playing. At least one should be an orchestral excerpt.

• Principals: a solo piece AND two orchestral excerpts.
