Celebrating Ross Bauer

This concert celebrates the long career and recent retirement of music professor emeritus Ross Bauer. The Empyrean Ensemble, founded by Bauer, will perform works by Bauer, his musical friends and colleagues Arlene Zallman and Yinam Leef and his former student Will Cooper. Leef has written a new piece for the concert honoring Bauer, who began teaching at UC Davis in 1988.

Ensemble-in-residence at UC Davis, Empyrean has premiered more than 200 works and performed throughout California, including appearances at many prominent music festivals and concert series.
