Kent Nicholson received his MFA from the Department of Theatre
and Dance in 1995. He returned to UC Davis in 2006 to
direct Death of a Salesman, which won
a Writers’ Choice Award for best theatrical production on a
university campus from the Sacramento News &
Review. New York directing credits include: 9
Circles (The Sheen Center), Long Story Short
(Prospect Theater), Five Flights (Rattlestick
Playwrights Theater), Wet (Summer Play Festival), and
Marry Harry (NYMF, American Theater Group).
Mindy Cooper has had the privilege of spending
the last 40 years working as a dancer, choreographer, director,
producer and teacher. From dance companies (Twyla Tharp Dance,
Eliot Feld Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Thingsezisee’m Dance
Theater) to Broadway/Off-Broadway
(Chicago, Titanic, Song and Dance, Beauty and the
Beast, Dracula The Musical, Being Seen, The Eternal Space,
Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, Live!, 50 Shades – The
Musical Parody, Soul Doctor, Wrong Mountain), her passion
for new works has always steered her career.
Catherine Castellanos (she/her), an actor, director, and teaching
artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is the Granada
Artist-in-Residence for Fall 2026. She will direct Octavio
Solis’s Mother Road.
