Partially in celebration of Wagner’s 202nd birthday, and partially for an awesome time, the Awesöme Orchestra will hold its 31st session—

  • Saturday, May 23, 2015, 12:00–3:00 pm
  • Firehouse Art Hangar
    3192 Adeline St., Berkeley, CA
(one block south of Ashby BART with free street parking)

The 31st session is held a collaboration with the Wagner Society of Northern California, and will feature paintings inspired by Wagner’s operas hung in the Art Hangar. Also, a nearby Bavarian food truck (aptly called the Little Red Riding Truck) will offer schnitzel and more.

The program, conducted by both David Moschler and D. Kern Holoman includes—

Wagner: Prelude to Act III of Lohengrin
Berlioz: March to the Scaffold from Symphonie Fantastique
Shore: The Fellowship of the Ring Orchestral Suite (arr. John Whitney)

Instrumentalists that want to participate may sign up online. Audience members need only to show up.
