Alumna Jessica Bejarano Elected to ACSO Board

UC Davis alumna Jessica Bejarano (M.A., music, ‘08) recently was elected as a board member of the Association of California Symphony Orchestras (ACSO) for a three-year term. 

Bejarano is the founder and music director of the San Francisco Philharmonic. She also serves as assistant conductor of Opera Parallele in San Francisco, music director at Escuela Bilingue Internacionale, and regular guest conductor with Camerata Antonio Soler Orchestra in San Lorenzo de el Escorial, Spain.

ACSO, founded in 1969, serves over 150 organizations and their 2,000 board and staff members. ACSO’s members are comprised of professional, academic, youth and community-based orchestras, choruses, and festivals in California and the western region. The association provides essential leadership and resources to classical music advocates and organizations, encouraging and supporting their artistic, organizational, and fiscal development.
