Jodi Connelly
M.F.A. Art Studio

Jodi Connelly is an artist and educator who developed arts programming for at-risk youth in Brooklyn and Queens, NY. Her drawings, photographs and sculptures deal with the body in relationship to the natural world, meditation and transformation. She was the visual artist for the performance Paraiso at Five Myles Gallery in BK, NY and a recipient of the Louis Brandeis Festival of the Creative Arts Grant for her project “Hive”. She also received the Kira Fournier Memorial Scholarship for Sculpture at Brandeis University and has been awarded residencies at Cill Railaig in Ireland, Vermont Studio Center, Mud/Bone Studios in the Bronx, NY and Penland in North Carolina. She has also taught drawing at the Art Student’s League in New York and at the NCSU Craft Center in Raleigh, NC.
