There will be a free dance workshop with Joanna Haigood, artistic director of Zaccho Dance Theatre, on Friday, March 17, 2017. The workshop begins at 10 a.m. in the Hickey Gym Dance Studio. This event is open to all UC Davis students.   

Award-winning choreographer Joanna Haigood will offer a workshop exploring the possibilities of site-specific dance. The workshop will include a lecture on the history and context of site-specific dance, and the creation of short studies around the UC Davis campus. This is an opportunity for dancers to explore and exchange ideas about site work and to engage in dialogue with a well-recognized practitioner. Open to dancers and dance makers at all levels and from all genres.
