Bay Area Media Spotlights Bogad’s Activism

Prior to the recent presidential election, Professor L. M. Bogad, Department of Theatre and Dance chair, spent the fall spearheading the creation of Delivering Democracy, a cohort of dancing mailboxes first deployed in Pennsylvania in order to encourage voting by mail. His efforts along with those of other arts activists are the focus of “The People’s WPA Isn’t Waiting Around for a Future ‘New Deal’” featured on the KQED website.

Writer Nicole Gluckstern profiles several artists and community organizers across the country have coalesced around a grassroots new deal of their own—the People’s WPA. Visit KQED website to read the complete article.

In addition, ABC News in the Bay Area interviewed Bogad for a news feature. Visit ABC News to view the feature.
