Poetry by Alumnus Included in Collaborative Music Project
Poetry by doctoral student Diego Martínez-Campos (M.F.A, dramatic arts, ‘20) has been selected to be part of Catalyst New Music, an innovative music collaboration, along with the work of 14 other artists across the U.S.A.
Catalyst New Music is joining forces with Boston Singers’ Resource to bring you FUSE: Collaborations in Song, a uniquely collaborative song-development process between singer, composer, and poet that will result in the creation of amazing new songs that are tailor-made for the singers who will give their world-premiere performance.
The project will be assembling five artist trios, each comprised of a singer, composer, and poet, who will together explore themes of mutual interest to develop a song or set/cycle of songs for a total of 8-12 minutes of music.
The world premiere of these new pieces will be on Feb. 11, 2023 at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA.
