Dee Dee Yang
MFA, Fashion and Textiles Design
Dee Dee’s first experience with fashion occurred when she made her own prom dress after being unable to find a suitable one on the market. Since completing her B.A. in Design with a focus on fashion at UC Davis, she discovered her interest in hand-crafted apparel and ethnic textiles. She has worked on projects that include hand embroidery and construction of traditional Hmong outfits. This inspired her prospective research on the exploration of slow fashion in contemporary fashion.
