The second guest speaker of the Brown Bag Lunch Series is Glen Helfand. Glen is a writer, critic, and curator.
His writings have appeared in Artforum, Art on Paper, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, and other publications and exhibition catalogs. He has blogged for ArtInfo.com, the Huffington Post, SFMOMA and the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. Glen has organized exhibitions for the de Young Museum, the San Jose Museum of Art, the Pasadena Museum of California Art, the San Francisco Art Institute, the Mills College Art Museum, and numerous alternative and commercial galleries. He also organizes the visiting artists lecture series at the San Francisco Art Institute. Glen is currently a Senior Adjunct Professor of Fine Arts and Visual and Critical Studies at the California College of the Arts.
