History
Due to COVID-19, Catalyst was launched as a virtual festival with online rehearsals and performances. The online process gave Catalyst a national footprint and allowed creative teams to collaborate from various locations across time zones. Catalyst was committed to creating an artistically supportive place for new plays and musicals to grow and find their voices — a creative space where world-class theatre artists, students and audiences met to foster important narratives as they moved forward onto the national stage. Some performances were co-produced with Southern Utah University.
