About

The UC Davis Concert Band Program has existed on the campus for 75 years, performing in commencements, ceremonies, and its own concerts. There are two bands during the year. Both groups are open to all students, professors, alumni, and community members. The Concert Band Program is proud to include students from over 30 majors and minors on campus.

UC Davis Concert Band

Offered all three quarters — directed by Pete Nowlen, and is a wind-symphony sized group of about 55 musicians, for which an audition is required.

  • Meetings and rehearsals for the UC Davis Concert Band Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:10 to 6:00 pm in Room 105, Music Building.
University Campus Band

Offered only in Winter and Spring quarters—and is open to all students and community members without an audition. Independent study credit is sometimes available.

  • Rehearsal times for the University Campus Band and Fridays, 4:00–6:00 pm in Room 105, Music Building.
