Lucas Hatton (MFA, dramatic arts, ‘17) returns to UC Davis in fall 2024 as guest artist to direct She Kills Monsters.   

Hatton is the co-artistic director of Davis Repertory Theatre. He has directed several  acclaimed productions including SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS (Hammer Theatre, San Jose), INCIDENT AT VICHY (Steep Theatre) and FOOLIN’ AROUND WITH INFINITY (Phalanx Theatre). The later two both received Critic’s Choice in The Chicago Reader. He also served as Artistic Director of the educational theatre company Playmakers Lab in Chicago. Lucas has performed in many video games, commercials and plays. In the Bay Area, he performed with SF Playhouse, Just Theatre, Marin Shakespeare, and Livermore Shakespeare. In Chicago, he performed with Steppenwolf, The Hypocrites, The Gift, Dog & Pony, and Improv Olympic. He holds an MFA in Dramatic Art from UC Davis and teaches performance and social justice at San José State University.
