Bio

Eric Hards is a creative director, designer, educator, and self-described Neo-Generalist whose career has centered on translating complex ideas into clear and compelling visual experiences. Over a 30-year career at Lockheed Martin, he worked across nearly every facet of visual communication, including brand and graphic design, digital media, web, video, environmental and experience design, executive communications, and live production. As Lockheed Martin Space's first Creative Director, he led multidisciplinary creative teams and developed award-winning work that helped communicate some of the company's most complex technologies, ideas, and stories.

A perpetual learner, Eric's interests span visual communication, storytelling, emerging technology, creative leadership, and the creative process. His work is grounded in curiosity, experimentation, and an interest in how ideas move across disciplines and are translated for different audiences.

Alongside his professional practice, Eric has taught and lectured within the University of California, California State University, California Community College, and State University of New York systems. He holds a B.S. in Design from the University of California, Davis, and an M.A. in Education with an emphasis in Instructional Technologies from San Francisco State University.
