Professor Yonan on Matter, Commerce, and the Figural Ideal

Professor Michael Yonan has just published “The Judgment of Porcelain: Matter, Commerce, and the Figural Ideal” in The French Porcelain Society Journal 9 (2022), 23–45.

In his latest article, Yonan explores the myth of the Judgment of Paris as represented in a Meissen porcelain group now in the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, Connecticut (acc. no. 1917.1482).
