Alum publishes article on CoFuturism in Routledge handbook

Congratulations to alum Srdan Tunic (M.A., ’23) whose article “The New Gods: Merging the Ancient and the Contemporary of Egypt” was just published in The Routledge Handbook of CoFuturisms.

“The New Gods” was coauthored with Omar Houssien and developed from Omar’s pop-up exhibition at Belgrade’s Chillton Hostel in 2018. In their article, Omar and Srdan explore alternative narratives based on Arabfuturism, Afrofuturism and Africanfuturism to artworks born out of the Arab Spring.
