Active in symphony orchestras in Northern California — including the symphony orchestras of Berkeley, Modesto, Napa, Oakland, San Jose, Stockton and Marin — Anderson has recently appeared as part of the Shinkoskey Series of Noon Concerts at the Pitzer Center in the Department of Music. Those appearances have included his trio, Ars Pacifica, in Antonín Dvořák's Serenade for Wind Instruments, and others. After his undergraduate career at UC Davis, which included playing horn in the UC Davis Symphony Orchestra, he earned his Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Miami, in addition to a Master of Music in Performance from Boston University.
He was previously a member of the Tuscon Symphony Orchestra, played under Michael Tilson Thomas and the New World Symphony in Miami, was a member of the Air Force's Band of the Golden West, as well as other special appearances.
