Kevin Stewart

A graduate of the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theater and Dance, Kevin has had the esteemed privilege to perform on some of the top stages in the World including Carnegie Hall, and the Kennedy Center.

Upon moving West after graduating from U of M, Kevin joined forces with the San Francisco Saxophone Quartet (SFSQ) releasing recordings on Angel/EMI, Dorchester Classics, and SASH labels. Along with the SFSQ, Kevin had the privilege to become a member of the Nuclear Whales Saxophone Orchestra recording on Whaleco.

In addition to an active touring schedule, Kevin has had the delight to perform with the San Francisco Symphony, SF Ballet, SF Opera, Oakland Symphony, Monterey Symphony, Marin Symphony, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and sharing the stage with Kristen Chenowith, Audrey McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, and Bernadette Peters. He has also had the pleasure to work with the American Conservatory Theater, Father John Misty, Paul Simon, and the late Peabo Bryson, among others.

Having toured throughout the United States, Europe, as well as Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China, Kevin is thrilled to have maintained an active freelancing, and teaching presence as a woodwind coach throughout the Bay Area, and his private studio.

Kevin is currently on faculty at the University of California, Davis.
