Ariana Badgett

Ariana Badgett graduated from Pepperdine University in 2024 with a B.A. in Art History and History. Her undergraduate thesis focused on the development of photography in the 19th century as a technology caught between art and science, resulting in its unorthodox uses for postmortem and spirit photography. At UC Davis, Ariana looks forward to continuing her exploration of early photography and the relationship between 19th century art and its historical context.
