Roy De Forest Prints at Museum
The Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art is mounting the first ever museum exhibition of lithographic prints by the late Professor Roy De Forest. “Roy De Forest: Habitats for Travelers” will include about 50 prints drawn from a recent donation of 400 works to the museum. De Forest joined the art department in 1965 and taught there for 27 years. Opening the same day is “Tick Tock Belly Clock” an exhibition by Loie Hollowell, daughter of Professor Emeritus David Hollowell.
The museum will hold a fall opening celebration Sept. 25 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. “Roy De Forest: Habitats for Travelers” is on view until May 5, 2023.
