Faculty and Alum Perform Holiday “Nutcracker”
UC Davis Theater and Dance alum Angel Rodriguez (‘12) and faculty member and alum Michele Apriña Leavy recently appeared in the Alameda Civic Ballet’s 20th Anniversary production of The Nutcracker. The production was performed Nov. 23 and 24 at the Castro Valley Center for the Arts in Castro Valley.
Rodriguez has danced the role of the Mouse King for six years, and currently trains with Alonso King Lines Ballet in San Francisco. Locally, Angel has danced with and choreographed for Applegate Dance Company in Davis.
Leavy has been with the production since its inception and has danced many roles. She now dances the character roles of the Governess and Mother Ginger.
