Congratulations to luka vergoz (M.F.A. ‘23) who has been selected to appear in “Introductions 2024,” Root Division’s 18th annual juried show.

The annual show embodies the distinctly community-driven spirit of San Francisco’s art scene. Established in 2007, “Introductions” showcases the talents of twelve emerging Bay Area artists without gallery representation. Artists are selected through a rigorous review process by a panel of three prominent arts professionals based on the conceptual and formal strength of their work. The resulting exhibition provides a snapshot of the Bay Area’s artistic landscape featuring a diverse range of media and subject matter.

Participating alongside vergoz are Clementine Keenan, Deena Qabazard, Grace Jin, Jacob Li Dai Loong Rosenberg, jamil nasim, Jessy Slim, Kevin Lopez, Kristiana Chan, Sophia Ramirez, tamara suarez porras and Timna Naim. The jurors for ”Introductions 2024″ were Callie Jones (Co-Founder, COL Gallery, San Francisco), Ebti (Artist and Introductions alum) and Matthew Villar Miranda (Curatorial Associate, Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive).
