Student Profile

Kelley O’Leary
MFA, Art Studio

Kelley O’Leary is an interdisciplinary artist moving between image-making, sculpture and social practice. Compelled by the ways our digital landscapes have become part of our ecology, she investigates how our future relationship to the natural world will be shaped by these forces and vice versa.

As part of an ongoing inquiry of space and psychology, her practice explores human and non-human perception to examine our relationships with each other and with the Earth. Work in glass, plexiglass and water generate experiences where everything is permeable, intertwined and oftentimes distorted.  O’Leary’s work addresses the question of living a human life among a world of both human and non-human entities.
