Lecturer in the Department of Design – Spring 2024 (DES 177)
The Department of Design announces a temporary lecturer position to teach a section of DES 177, during the Spring 2024 quarter.
DES 016: COMPUTER-ASSISTED FASHION DESIGN -
Studio—4 hours; lecture/discussion—2 hours. Prerequisite: DES 1,
14 (or 21), 15, 16 and 77 or consent of instructor. Priority to
Design majors for industry and personal expression with emphasis
on computer-assisted design applications. Field trip required.
Design at UC Davis is unique within the University of California system and presents itself as a global model for design education with a research focus.
Applicants must have professional experience in a design field related to the curriculum.
Appointment Dates:
Spring Quarter: March 28 – June 13, 2023
Qualifications:
Appropriate professional degree, e.g. MFA, or equivalent training
and professional experience.
Demonstrated teaching ability and experience. A developing record of creative, scholarly, or professional achievement in an area of expertise related to the subject area, as described in this announcement.
Salary and Appointment Level:
Commensurate with degree and experience.
