Background
Dr. Konstantinos (Kosta) Papamichael is a professor, the Co-Director of the California Lighting Technology Center (CLTC) at the University of California, Davis and the Chair of the Daylighting Committee of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES).
Publications and Work
Kosta holds seven patents and is author/co-author of more than 100 publications. He is the author of Daylight Chapter of the Advanced Lighting Guidelines.
His work is in building energy efficiency, focusing on strategies, technologies and design tools for daylighting, as well as the integration of fenestration, electric lighting and HVAC controls.
Awards
He is the recipient of the 2013 IES Presidential Award for leading the development of the IES publication on Recommended Practice for Daylighting Buildings.
