Join Kevin O’Connor as he performs in Dismantling: Tactic 2.

Dismantling: Tactic 2, a multimedia performance work where raw exposure to the current racial environment begs a transformative process of re-orientation. Dismantling: Tactic 2 is a full evening performance in a gallery setting.

Featuring dancers-collaborators: Jose Abad, Amelia Uzategui Bonilla, Cookie Harrist, Ronja Ver, Jonah Kagan, Debby Kajiyama, Gizeh Muniz, randy reyes, Byb Chanel Bibene, Kevin O’Connor, poet and preacher Marvin K. White, videographer Ainsley Tharp and voice programming and processing by sound designer Adria Otte. Collectively we develop new strategies to cope with and heal from the constant racial tension we face. This residency also supports a larger cultural project wherein the methods of inquiry used during our time together are developed into a mobile art-based curriculum that fuels a cathartic, game-changing conversation around privilege, supremacy, economics and race.
