Design graduate student Edward Whelan was the mastermind behind a recent pop-up exhibition outside of Cruess Hall.

On Dec. 2, Whelan worked with DES 001 students to create a fun and relatively low cost pop-up exhibition. Students were asked to complete the sentence “design is____”, and write their responses on balloons. Over 200 balloons were written on in multiple languages, and each response offered a unique perspective on how we at UC Davis see design.  

The exhibition was up for 24 hours.
