The 2023 de Young Open, the second triennial of the juried community art exhibition, features submissions by artists from the Bay Area including the work of lecturer Rose Kelly.

Artworks are displayed “salon style,” edge to edge and floor to ceiling, maximizing the number of works displayed. The Open celebrates local arts communities, and allows artists to offer their works for sale and retain the proceeds. The de Young also acquires a selection of the exhibited artworks for their permanent collection.
