Beth Ferguson appointed to Women in Design Advisory Council
Professor Beth Ferguson has been appointed to a two-year term to the Women in Design Advisory Council, the group supporting the Women in Design Committee of the national organization Industrial Designers Association of America (IDSA).
The Women in Design Advisory Council consists of experienced leaders who provide valuable strategic guidance, historical perspective, and deep industry connection in helping the Committee achieve their goals. In addition to Ferguson, other members include Ana Arriola (Microsoft), Betsy Barnhart (University of Kansas), Ti Chang (CRAVE), Betsy Goodrich (Manta Design), Magdalena Kokoszynska (GM Design) and Nancy Perkins (Perkins, Design Ltd).
IDSA Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) is one of the oldest and largest industrial design associations in existence. It has a long-standing commitment to Women in Design. To date, IDSA has invested considerable resources in this community group, beginning with the establishment of a Women’s Special Interest Section in 1992, the Women in Design San Francisco community group, and most recently the annual Women in Design Deep Dive events.
