Alum Maija Peeples-Bright featured in KQED artist series
Maija Peeples-Bright (B.A., ‘64, M.A., ‘65), known for exuberant, whimsical paintings and sculptures, is featured in 8 Over 80, KQED’s series celebrating artists and cultural figures over the age of 80 who continue to shape the greater Bay Area.
Peeples-Bright has made art in the Sacramento area for six decades. Her first exhibition was at the legendary Candy Store in Folsom. More recently, Peoples-Bright has shown at the San Jose Museum of Art, the Crocker Art Museum, the Manetti Shrem Museum and the Museum of Art and Design (New York). She is represented by Parker Gallery in Los Angeles.
