Interests: Visual Communications & Public Outreach
Since graduating from the design program, I have utilizes my
visual design skills to create and implement projects, improve
government communications, and translate complex programs into
clear visual presentations. I am passionate about connecting
the community to local government through effective outreach and
believe that communication and engagement are key pillars to
building trust in an organization.
Currently, in my seventh year of employment with Placer County, I
manage the Document Solutions division of the County Executive
Office. I lead a team of eight people to provide printing,
graphic design, convenience copiers, records storage, interoffice
mail, US mail, and shipping services for county departments
and external organizations.
As I promoted from graphic designer to supervisor and then
manager roles at Placer County, I have influenced key
decisions regarding business development, policy, budgeting,
staffing, and production management. These adjustments have
allowed us to improve customer service, reduce
costs, and meet the needs of modern government. Looking
ahead, I’m excited to continue to use my visual communications
approach to bring innovative change to our organization.
